It isn’t a little subject

October 23, 2011

I’ve just started a new blog “It isn’t a little subject”- The History of food photography. My aim is to convince you, the reader, of the importance and significance of food photography as a photographic genre! By exploring a vast amount of different sources and attempting to link them together, I hope to create a cohesive history deserving artistic attention.

You can read my first post here.

Guernsey Farmers’ Market

October 17, 2011
As promised below are the photos from last weekend when I went to the Farmers’ Market in Guernsey at Sausmarez Manor……

Ducks and Chickens are a common feature of Sausmarez Manor

Then we made some Lemon Drizzle Cake for afternoon tea!

Vue my new blogpost!

October 14, 2011

So it’s been a while since my last blogpost. Moving house (twice) and having my wisdom teeth out (ouch!) have taken up a considerable amount of time!

What else have I been doing…..?

  • I did a 4-week internship at Vue a photographer’s agent
  • Assisted interiors photographer Tom Leighton
  • Met Simon Smith and Toby Scott
  • Assisted Garry Simpson
  • Went to Guernsey (again!) and photographed one of the Farmers’ Markets (photos to follow shortly)
  • And I’ve added a new video to the homepage of my website

Since my 4-week internship in September, the lovely ladies at Vue asked me to stay on to help them out in the office. It’s been a great experience so far, learning about the agents’ side of the photographic industry. I’ve been along to a few portfolio meetings at BBH and AMV BBDO, attended the AOP Photographers awards and helped Penny Cottee find a mannequin for a shoot!
