February 23rd, 2013

Young Photographers’ Alliance (YPA) ‘Home’ exhibition

January 7th, 2013

In September I was selected to be part of the Young Photographers’ Alliance mentoring programme, mentored by two inspirational people; Sophie Chapman-Andrews (Head of Art Buying at McCann London) and Liz Helman (Freelance Picture Editor and videographer). Over 8 weeks we were required to produce a series of images under the theme of ‘Home‘. My work explores the idea of home using a home-cooked meal; the traditional Sunday lunch, set in different situations.

One of the images (above), along with images from the other mentees, will be exhibited at Margaret Street Gallery in Soho from the 8th – 17th January so do come and have a look!

Some of my work is going to be exhibited at The Photographers’ Gallery as part of Fresh Faced and Wild Eyed, showcasing the work of recent graduates in the UK. It was a real honour to be selected as only 5 BA Photography graduates made the cut and I was one of them! Hoorah! The show opens on Saturday 15th September and runs until the end of the month.
